International award-winning educator, researcher and author Dr Marlon Lee Moncrieffe was a road time trialist, elite road racer and track sprinter between the years of 1994 to 2014. He won multiple British and European championship titlesmedals for track sprinting including UCI World Championships Masters Silver in 2010.

His research on cycling and particularly the involvement and lives of elite and professional Black champion cyclists over the last 100 years is respected as world leading in methodological design and analysis. His book Desire Discrimination Determination – Black Champions in Cycling is the Sunday Times Cycling Book of the Year 2022

Dr Moncrieffe has shared his ground-breaking research and book across the world through public engagement talks in the UK, the USA, Germany, Austria, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and via multiple television broadcasts including The BBC, Eurosport, and ITV Tour de France coverage. His research and written work has been featured in national and international publications such as The Daily Telegraph, The Conversation, The Voice, Velonews, Bicycling, Cycling Weekly, Procycling Magazine.
