We hope you had an amazing One Love Century weekend with all 1,350 of your cycling friends! Yes, 1,350, and that number is easily exceeded when you include all of the awesome volunteers, sponsors, and vendors. You came in from all over the US representing your cycling clubs, organizations, and self. You brought your beautiful bikes, cycling kits, riding energy and most importantly that One Love attitude which maintains our One Love Century vibe! (click map to enlarge)
It’s hard to describe the excitement and unity that was prevalent. The festivities started on Thirsty Thursday Tango as an appetizer into pre-ride Fish-Fry Friday (more appetizer), building into One Love Century Saturday and continued on into Post-ride Sunday! You showed up and showed out in the most positive energetic way. From the exceptionally fast to the most casual of riders, you met your century cycling goals and challenges with a big smile!
The fellowship amongst each other was simply awesome! Every year the number of cycling clubs and out-of-state participants grow significantly. This must be attributed to your positive social media posts of the event. MACC strives to make your experience wonderful.
Thank You! We greatly appreciate all of you and your continued participation and support of the One Love Century. You can find a few photos & videos on our 2019 Shutterfly Site.
This year’, our special guest Ayesha McGowan “A Quick Brown Fox” led the mass start (then burned up our metric course according to Strava)! Hopefully, you had a chance to ride alongside her or met her at a rest stop or the after-party.
We salute Ayesha’s pursuit of becoming the first African American female pro cyclist!
Our amazing sponsors and vendors provided the support needed to feed, service, and entertain you! This year, vendors focused on your recovery via IV hydration, vitamin shots, stretching and massage. And, other vendors offered to spice up your cycling attire. The sponsors this year came through big-time with a few doubling up on their previous donations.
And, for the 2nd year in a row, Grady Health Foundation (Velocity Atlanta) became our lead sponsor! The One Love Century would not be possible without our sponsor’s generous financial and in-kind support!
Thank-you with all of our Love! And we will continue to highlight your businesses and organizations.
Last but not least, our volunteers are simply awesome! This group consists of MACC members and friends of MACC. Every year we receive unsolicited feedback about how tremendous you guys are. Your service is the heart of the One Love Century and you do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Even our sponsors have acknowledged you by offering FREE entry to some of their cycling events! Thank you for treating our guests with respect, kindness, and making their experience exceptional!
You the participants, our volunteers, our sponsors, and One Love vibes are a match made in cycling heaven.
Once again, Thank You, One Love!
